Juliet Hiznay is the founder of J.D. Hiznay, PLLC, a private law practice in Arlington, Virginia. She focuses her practice on serving families who are navigating the special education process in public school. Taking a collaborative and holistic approach to matters, Juliet consults with families on both school and community supports. A litigator by training, Juliet has been licensed to practice law in Virginia since 1997. As part of her law practice, Juliet provides direct services to individuals and families in Northern Virginia seeking consultation or representation relating to learning differences. Juliet also counsels individuals with disabilities who are transitioning to secondary and post-secondary education opportunities. Ms. Hiznay is a graduate of Boston College (Bachelor of Arts, cum laude) and George Mason University School of Law (Juris Doctor, with honors).
Juliet is an accomplished public speaker and writer. She has testified before the Virginia General Assembly, and has worked extensively on public policy and legislation. She is co-founder of the Coalition for Trauma-Informed Schools.
